Exploring the Blogosphere
After a brief tour of the links provided, the two blogs that really caught my eye were The Annoyed Librarian and Judge a Book by its Cover. Of the two, I think I prefer the latter. A picture is worth a thousand words, you know. And the pictures provided are worth at least a few paragraphs of jokes and snide remarks. Honestly, it's hard to believe how some of the books get printed with covers like that. The saying goes that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. I know sometimes this is true. (The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss comes to mind. I didn't read that one until they came out with a new cover for the paperback edition. It's brilliant, by the way.) However, if the cover looks that exceedingly bad, wouldn't it just be better to have a new edition with more appealing cover art?
